Classic Concepts hires Nikki Chu as creative director

Classic Concepts, a leading manufacturer and distributor of furniture, rugs, bedding and pillows, has announced the hiring of Nikki Chu as creative director for the textiles division.

"We are so excited to have Nikki join the design team," said Jaynie Barrientos, general manager of textiles for Classic Concepts. "She uses her experience in interior design to develop products that make sense based on popular home decorating styles. Creating luxurious home textiles that can be incorporated into in any home is just one of her strengths. This is something we know our customers will appreciate. Nikki will refresh Villa and Rugs in dramatic and exciting ways."

Chu was the original designer for Classic Concepts' Villa pillow line, and her vision has remained a part of the Villa brand.

"I am thrilled to once again partner with the Classic Concepts team to bring invigorating, new creations to the textile market," Chu said. "Applying my expertise in fashion and interior design, I intend to offer trendsetting and bold new creations that will set a professional architect to any living space."

In addition to designing her own signature line of handbags and accessories, including the "Room-in-a-Box" interior designer kit, she has designed accessories for NFL for Women, NIKE, Fox Racing and a women's shoe line for Creative Recreation. Chu has also appeared as a design expert on several networks such as VH1, HGTV, Fine Living Channel, E! Entertainment and Oxygen's Girlfriend Confidential: LA.
